Destination: Barcelona, Spain
After a overnight train from Malaga, Spain, I had finally arrived in one of the prettiest and diverse area's I had ever seen. Barcelona is filled with things to do, whether you decide to take a Double Decker tourist bus around or on foot. The streets are filled with vespa's, high buildings, and surrounded by beauty. Les Rambles is one of the most popular attractions in the city of Barcelona. It is filled with vendors, restaurants, souvenir shops and every few feet there are people dressed up differently who appear as statues. The picture to the left is my cousin Barbara standing next to one of these real human statues. All the people who dress up have creative costumes from anything to extravagant winged creatures to beautiful princesses. Although they are trying to collect money, its great to walk around this street and these people bring tourists a photo opportunity as well as a cool attraction to see. This road is well known for night time entertainment so I highly encourage you check it out. As for the rest of Barcelona there are tons of places to visit including the Picasso museum which is interesting filled with three floors of his work. The museum surrounds a middle area to walk through outside and it's set up very elegantly. One place i wish to have gone inside and toured was the Casa Mila, the architecture from the outside is phenomenal. Barcelona is well known for the architecture of their buildings and you will immediately know why once you visit. Another attraction that was quite appealing was Camp Nou Stadium, my brothers were intrigued by this because they enjoy European football so i encourage you to check it out. With so much to do in Barcelona, I highly encourage renting out an apartment so you can get the full experience, that was the appealing part of visiting Barcelona for only a few days. The luxury to find a affordable place close to the inner part of the city allowed me and my family to see as much as the city as we could and i would definitely revisit.
